how to find joy in the darkness? ☾
Life will bring you struggles, that’s a given. And while those times are unsatisfying and unpleasant, when we lean into them and observe, there is always a message for our greater good, growth and expansion. We CAN feel joy within the struggle.
Here are three powerful tools that helped me;
👩🏼🦳 🐶 Think about your favorite person or pet. Close your eyes and visualize a time together that made you smile. Revel in that space and witness how your body shifts and feels lighter.
🎶 Listen to your favorite upbeat or inspirational music and dance around the room. If you can’t physically dance, then close your eyes and visualize yourself dancing, smiling and feeling full of life. Your body will release dopamine and give you a lift.
😌 Listen to a guided self-love or motivational meditation. Get comfortable and get lost in it.
