Have you had enough of people pleasing?


Do you always put others before yourself?

If so, it's time to start thinking about yourself for a change. You need to start putting yourself first and stop pleasing others.

When you please others at the expense of your own happiness, you're doing yourself a disservice. You're not living your life the way you want to, and you're not fulfilling your own needs. You're also not setting a good example for others.

HERE ARE 5 STEPS YOU CAN TAKE TO START PUTTING YOURSELF FIRST:

  1. Before committing to anything, ask yourself if it will take away from your own plans and wellbeing? 

  2. Listen to your gut. It is always speaking to you.

  3. Limit how many times you say YES each week. When we practice saying NO, we enhance our own confidence.

  4. Set a daily calendar so you can easily see your availability.

  5. Say YES to the things you will enjoy.

At the age of 45, married with three children, a dog and a cat, I received the loudest wake up call of my life from the Universe. I fell down hard and fast while jogging and sustained my fourth head injury.
