Our negative thoughts can lead to emotions that trigger a chemical reaction, such as hormones like cortisol. These negative emotions can create distress in our bodies over time.
The same is true when we choose a good feeling or thought.
We get rewarded with a dose of dopamine, the happy feeling hormone. Our brains don’t know the difference between whether the good thought is a product of our own doing or of someone else.
When we can feel excitement and celebration for others for their accomplishments we also enjoy the benefits in our own bodies while staying in a space that will attract more goodness into our own lives.
